(Royal Conquest Saga #1)
by Nikki Jefford
She sacrificed herself to save her family from poverty…
It wasn’t enough to kill my mate, heir to the throne. My obsessive Fae brother-in-law wants the crown. And he wants me ruling by his side.
I thought I was done with romance until a certain pompous elf reappeared in my life at the illustrious Monster Ball. A little teasing led to bruised lips and captured hearts. No one wants Jhaeros and me to be together, not even my favorite sister, Melarue. She thinks he’s a drag. But she’s a teenager just coming into her elemental powers and discovering boys—the wrong kind—the type I want to shoot arrows through.
My royal in-laws are playing a treacherous game, and my brother-in-law is determined to get what he wants. But this princess no longer has a master. I don’t want a crown. I want freedom, family, and the love of a lifetime. But love might be the one thing that destroys us all.
This story has been dubbed as A supernatural Cinderella meets Mr. Darcy and The Cruel Prince.
Aerith, an elf barely surviving with a too proud father and highly despicable sister after her mother died, found herself being hailed a princess after marrying into the Elmray kingdom of the Fae. Prince Cirrus was supposed to be the next King but was poisoned by his own brother, Liri. When all’s been said and done, Aerith found her way again in Pinemist and fell for the man in mask… And this is where all hell broke loose.
Stolen Princess is a magical read, and undeniable sexy. Love that there’s not just magic and intimacy in the story, the characters were as much as intriguing and impossibly cunning, too. A story that tells about two very complicated families and then there’s this other man that balances the equation. Although I thought Aerith’s feelings for this one man were a little too fast for my liking, it’s what he did to prove himself against the odds was what made me like him in the end.
This is my second Nikki Jefford series (the first series I’ve read of hers was Aurora Sky and it was a favorite of mine) and she continually surprises me. Love her!
