Review: The Dare by Elle Kennedy

fltsThe Dare (Briar U, #4)
by Elle Kennedy

College was supposed to be my chance to get over my ugly-duckling complex and spread my wings. Instead, I wound up in a sorority full of mean girls. I already have a hard time fitting in, so when my Kappa Chi sisters issue the challenge, I can’t say no.

The dare: seduce the hottest new hockey player in the junior class.

Conor Edwards is a regular at Greek Row parties…and in Greek Row sorority beds. He’s the one you fall for before you learn that guys like him don’t give girls like me a second glance. Except Mr. Popular throws me for a loop—rather than laughing in my face, he does me a solid by letting me take him upstairs to pretend we’re getting busy.

Even crazier, now he wants to keep pretending. Turns out Conor loves games, and he thinks it’s fun to pull the wool over my frenemies’ eyes.

But resisting his easy charm and surfer-boy hotness is darn near impossible. Though I’m realizing there’s much more to Conor’s story than his fan club can see.

And the longer this silly ruse goes on, the greater the danger of it all blowing up in my face.

A daringly sexy read!

Finally got to meet Conor F**ng Edwards and he was beyond everything I’ve expected. At first I was hesitant to believe that such a man exists, a hockey player who could turn his world around for that one woman who challenged him in more ways than one.

Taylor Marsh is a woman after my own heart, being an insecure heavy bosom lady who’s afraid of getting unwanted attention. I think that’s the reason why I like her and I could relate with her (not with the big chest issue, but with the insecurity). Storywise, it’s not that quite complicated, but I liked how they ended together. I think this two daringly sexy lovers are a match made in heaven. Oh, and that surprise relationship with Taylor’s Doctor Mom was a great sweet hit!! It’s nice to see Hunter and Demi and Brenna in the scenes too!

So sad to see this series ending. Of all the characters I’ve met in Briar U and Off-Campus series, my favorite would be Jake & Brenna’s story, and Dean Di Laurentis!! Maybe I am still holding a torch for Jake and Dean, that’s why I only gave 3.5 stars for this installment. Nevertheless, the whole series is the bomb!! Okay, that’s all for now! Till the next Elle Kennedy book!
