Caelen’s Wife: A Murmur of Providence
(Clan McDunnah #1)
by Suzan Tisdale
Rumor has it the water on Clan McPherson lands is magical…
Clan McPherson has known peace amongst their neighboring clans for more than one hundred years. That peace is threatened when Fiona McPherson is made chief after the death of her husband.
Known more for her fighting skills than her beauty, Fiona refuses the multiple proposals of marriage that begin to seemingly arise from nowhere. She may be the chief of her clan, but she’s still a woman. It isn’t Fiona they want, but her land and she’s willing to fight to the death to keep it.
Rumor has it Caelen McDunnah has lost his mind…
Called McDunnah, the chief of Clan McDunnah, has no desire to remarry. He’s perfectly content to still mourn the loss of his first wife and babe, even if it has been sixteen years. Until he meets the beautiful and feisty Fiona McPherson.
Known to start a fight out of sheer boredom or madness — no one is ever truly sure which — Caelen suddenly finds himself in the middle of battles he has no desire to fight, but fight them he will if it means he can have Fiona McPherson as his own.
There is always a wee bit of truth in every rumor.
Hullo! ’tis me first time to read a Suzan Tisdale book and ’twas a delightfully awesome experience! I’ve discovered Ms. Tisdale a few months ago in one of her videos and to say that it was love at first sight is an understatement. I was actually star struck and bewitched. And I have loved her ever since.
I couldna’ verra well express how much I love all the characters in the story. ‘Tis been a long time since I’ve read a historical romance and now ‘tis me first Scottish story. (I’m sure I have read some before but I couldna’ remember so please ferrgive me. I’m such a fergetful lass).
In the words of Fiona McPherson, ‘tis quite an honor to meet ya, great wise chief Caelen McDunnah.. You donna’ know how much I adore ya, Fiona, the fiesty chief of the McPhersons. And I ken most of ya who had read the book can tell that ’tis one ends in a cliffhanger , but believe me you, ’twas worth reading and diving into.
Okay, enough of that Scottish wordings and all. Caelen’s Wife: A Murmur of Providence is quite an enjoyable read, takes you back to the past with beautiful characters and rollicking scenes. I can’t wait to start book 2 in the series. Everyone should read a Suzan Tisdale book because she’s the bomb! If you haven’t read her books, I’m going ta skelp yer wee behind! (Kidding!)
