Many girls dream of a prince from a land far away and long ago. But what about dreaming about an everyday prince? In My Prince Wears Blue Jeans author Kayla Davidson celebrates ranching life and the love between a father and daughter as she compares a traditional cowboy to a young girl’s prince. Yes, this prince really does wear blue jeans.

I enjoyed reading this kiddie book and seeing all those wonderful illustrations definitely has put me in good mood. I don’t have a daughter to read this to, but I have a five year old son who loves listening to my bedtime stories, so I told him that I was the little girl mentioned in the book. And off we were to a great evening.

This beautifully illustrated story reminded me a lot about my father whom I looked up to growing up. This book pays tribute to the one we regard as our Prince who wears blue jeans, like a cowboy in a ranch taking care of his loved ones.  Loved how the love flowed between him and his darling little girl. The illustrations were also vibrant and crisp; my son loved seeing all those animals and things Dad and daughter did. I just wish I could do all those with my boy, too.

Overall, this book is a perfect bedtime story!
