coffeethoughts

“You are an idiot, Hunter James. I never wanted him. I wanted you. But you left.”

Hunter James, part of an special elite Task Force, cunning, fierce, cold, daunting. A broken heart put him in the ranks in the military to forget about his painful love and to serve his country and protect it from terrorist attacks. Until one mission brought him back to the one who broke his heart.

Evangeline Videl, gorgeous, feisty, broken. The love of her life left her, and the one she replaced him with was a total jerk, a monster, a deceiver. Hunter came back and she learned of his betrayal. She could never ever trust him again, even if her heart said otherwise.

“I’ve been thinking about you for a long time. Holding you. Touching you like this. I don’t know how much longer I can keep myself in check.”

There’s a lot of alpha male testosterone in this book, so many gorgeous soldiers that I could hardly keep up. All wild and total hunks. Yum! But this story was hard-hitting and full of action that you wouldn’t date to stop. Hunter James is the man of the hour and his ladylove Evie might as well be the queen he couldn’t say no to. They’re both likeable characters and the story promises even more! Oh, and don’t get me started with the sexy erotic scenes. Oh my. I can’t help but blush!

This is my first Lindsay Cross book and will definitely not be the last. I can’t wait to meet the other Men of Mercy soon!
