coffeesynopsisdHe’s a player in more ways than one…

College junior John Logan can get any girl he wants. For this hockey star, life is a parade of parties and hook-ups, but behind his killer grins and easygoing charm, he hides growing despair about the dead-end road he’ll be forced to walk after graduation. A sexy encounter with freshman Grace Ivers is just the distraction he needs, but when a thoughtless mistake pushes her away, Logan plans to spend his final year proving to her that he’s worth a second chance.

Now he’s going to need to up his game…

After a less than stellar freshman year, Grace is back at Briar University, older, wiser, and so over the arrogant hockey player she nearly handed her V-card to. She’s not a charity case, and she’s not the quiet butterfly she was when they first hooked up. If Logan expects her to roll over and beg like all his other puck bunnies, he can think again. He wants her back? He’ll have to work for it. This time around, she’ll be the one in the driver’s seat…and she plans on driving him wild.

coffeethoughts

Why are these hockey players so f*cking hot? And what’s up with their totally effed up dads? I remember cursing them in my head multitude of times. Ugh.

Before I get carried away, let me just tel you that reading the Off-Campus series had been therapeutic to me. I’ve been really busy these past few days, and I really needed something that would put me at ease. Reading Elle Kennedy’s books always perk me up so I read The Mistake as often as I can. And I love it!

Love love love the sizzling, slow burn, sensational second chance romance between Logan and Grace. Theirs was like Garrett’s and Hannah’s, they started as acquaintances, then enemies, then friends, then eventually, lovers. Theirs was tested through time, unlike those insta-love-stories most sports romances I usually read. I love the whole story, hot and slow and burning.

Also, I love Logan’s friends. I love everyone in the hockey team. You would think they were all bossy and obnoxious, but the truth? Deep inside, they’re softies. I really like their home dynamics. They don’t just treat each other as hockey mates, but as friends and bros. Like real brothers. Man, that’s hot!

I love their sexy banters, their good-natured insults, heck, even the way they woo and court their muses. Yep, at this age and time, there are still guys who know how to woo. And that’s major Griffindor points for me. Yay!!

Another thing I love… those tasks Grace asked from Logan.. the love letters, the blue rose and oh my gosh, the red velvet lounge boudior shot. Man, I’d love to receive a photo of that guy in that chair.. Hmmm..

Seriously, I love The Deal, and I love The Mistake… BUT… I love Elle Kennedy the most! Now on to The Score!!
