by Lisa Renee Jones
Determined to defend her late father’s work, Amber Green heads into the heat of the Nevada canyons to prove the existence of the Yaguara, a shape-shifting race of jaguars. There she meets the one man more hell-bent on protecting the jaguars than she is: Jareth, a force of raw male nature to be reckoned with–an animal worth pursuing …
I think this is my first time to read a paranormal romance that feature shape-shifting jaguars. Most of the time, I encounter werewolves, so reading about jaguars this time was new and exciting.
Amber Green’s father died not being able to capture that one particular creature he’d been hunting when he was alive. The fabled Yaguara. Now, it’s up to Amber to continue his legacy and so had gone to great lengths as the great archaeologist like her father was. When she met recluse writer Jareth, there was this instant connection and strong pull of attraction that she couldn’t shake. He mystify her, especially after knowing how protective he was of the jaguar race.
I enjoyed reading this short paranormal shifting story, a little different from the romantic suspense I’ve read from Lisa Renee Jones a few days ago. I thought Amber & Jareth’s story was interesting and glad that the action scenes moved at a nice pace ad the length of the book was just right for me. I would love to check out more of Jones’s other paranormal novels too.
