Review: ALORA The Wander-Jewel by Tamie Dearen

AloraAlora: The Wander-Jewel
by Tamie Dearen

officialsynopUnlike her friends, fifteen-year-old Alora has visions. Only while in the shower. And only of one stranger: a handsome boy with long brown hair, intense green eyes, and the oddest clothes. A boy who vanishes whenever she opens her eyes.

And then one day, he doesn’t…

Alora’s safe world soon turns upside-down as she’s thrust into another realm where her soulmate waits, magic abounds, and unfathomable evil seeks to claim her.

officialreviewAlora didn’t know why visions of a guy kept up appearing before her whenever she took a shower or when she’s in the bath tub. When the apparition finally materialized right in front of her, she discovered the secret to her true identity.

Kaevin thought he finally found his soulmate when he appeared in front of the girl with strange eyes. But she seemed out of reach. Soon he was transported into a whole new world, a world he never knew existed. He was brought to the present time after having lived in the past.

When Alora finally met Kaevin, she knew there’s something odd about this guy. Aside from the fact that he was an uber gorgeous, pony-tailed-hair guy, he spoke like he was from out of nowhere, out of civilization. What forces of nature brought him to her?

Before long, an older man she never knew appeared and demanded to get her. She witnessed his deception when he came looking for her. Could she trust this man who was soon revealed to be her father?

I enjoyed reading Alora: The Wander Jewel. This was a really unique high-fantasy story that had me mesmerized. I’ve read the other books Tamie Dearen had written, mostly contemporary romances and chick-lits, but with this one, she created a whole new world that left me breathless! Looking forward to reading more and discovering what happens next to Alora in her whole new world.
