Review: Time to Love by Angela Ford

Time2LoveTime to Love
(Mirrors of Time Book 2)
by Angela Ford

What would you do if you woke up in a strange man’s house? Only to discover you time traveled to 1737. If you had the option, would you stay or return to the life you knew?

Dr. Maggie Collins always believed true love to be a myth. Her only focus in life was to become a Veterinarian. Then her best friend Emma decides she wants to go to Bolivia before she gets married. A hesitant Maggie won’t allow her determined friend to go alone so she decides to make it one exciting adventure. She didn’t expect to lose her friend in the midst of the excitement.

When Emma goes missing, Maggie’s search finds a tall native man in a dark robe. His words confuse her. The future is behind you and the past is ahead of you. He hands her a mirror and tells her to listen to her heart. The water below her begins to ripple. She feels weak and dizzy. She wakes in the home of Sir Heth Manning in 1737 England. She can’t remember how she got there. In her search to find her friends and a way home she finds true love. Will it be enough to keep her from the life she knew?

my reviewMaggie’s friends had always teased her that she’s better off if she’d fall for an 18th century Englishman with a horse. She’s a vet and her attention had always been on her books and the animals she took care of. Her last failed relationship was with her bestfriend’s brother and it was quite hurtful and deceiving.

Her best friend Emma was soon-to-be-married, but the bride decided to go on to their last trip together with her closest friends, Maggie, Zoe, and Jaye. They traveled to Bolivia to see the largest mirror in the world, Salar De Uyuni and were all enchanted by the place. Until one of them had gone missing and Maggie suddenly woke up in England, year 1737, in another man’s bed, wrapped in a different clothing, attended by the most beautiful man she’d ever seen. Soon she needed to decide whether to come back to the present time and continuously search for true love, or stay in the 18th century with the Heth and forget her family & friends.

I thought this story was fun and adventurous. Novels featuring time travels always have a special place in my heart. I have, more than a million times, wanted to go back in time, not only to change what I regretfully did in the past, but also to marvel the wonders of the past and see what would happen in the future.

In Time To Love, Angela Ford was able to bring me back to the past and let me take a glimpse of King George and his horses and valiant Englishmen. I also learned about Salar De Uyuni, the world’s largest mirror in Bolivia. I immediately researched the Internet about this marvelous place. It was quite breathtaking, indeed!
