Review: Unlikely Allies by CC Koen

Unlikely Allies
by C.C. Koen

What happens when a single mom’s four-year-old daughter falls in love with Mr. Right and she doesn’t?

Maggie Tyson’s rule: no bad boys. Her incarcerated ex-husband broke her of that attraction. Needing to escape his threats and the scrutiny of the people in her hometown, Maggie relocates to New York City. Determined to not make the same mistakes, she has a mile-long list of dos and don’ts. Unfortunately, her daughter, Cecily, doesn’t like to follow them. When Cecily wanders away from her and right into Rick Stone’s office, Maggie knows he’s the exact type she’s been trying to avoid. Can she resist him or will she succumb to his willful charm?

Rick Stone’s rule: bed them don’t wed them. Running a multibillion dollar business doesn’t leave him with much time to do anything else, particularly with an overbearing grandfather breathing down his neck. But when a man works hard, he needs to play even harder. Voted America’s most eligible bachelor, Rick doesn’t have any problems getting women into his bed—except one.
Two auburn beauties stumble into his life.
One will break his heart.
The other—heal it.
Will he love or leave them?

★★★★☆ : Great! I liked this book!

Maggie had been burned in love. She vowed never get too fired up and not get too close to any man ever again. She and her daughter moved to NYC for a change.

But fate had other ideas. And so was Cece. She was the one who found the man she might just need in her life. And she might just be the one Rick Stone needed in his.

This had been a breathtaking, heartwarming tale of love, family, choices and redemption. I think CeCe was my favorite in the story, she’s like an angel sent to bring Rick and Maggie together. Rick has a good heart and a good head on his shoulders. He was exactly the kind of man I would love Maggie & Cece to spend their lives with. But really, this book is all about Cece and I couldn’t find fault in her! I loved this feeling of light-headedness and good vibes Cece brought in this book.

The ending was perfect. The story was great.  The author was brilliant. C.C. Koen did a spectacular job!
