DeceivedDeceived
(Soul Keeper Series Book 1)
by L. A. Starkey

thesynopsis

They say a soul is the immaterial essence, the animating principle, the actuating cause of an individual life.

But what if you had to share yours with the one person you hated the most?

The soul mate principle states that for every one soul there is another that will recognize its match, hence creating the perfect union.

But what if you had two soul mates, which would you choose?

What if your choices had eternal ramification?

Deceived, the debut novel in the Soul Keeper Series, is a modern day love story about the implications of having more than one soul mate, and having to choose between the two of them. The decisions of the gods has left the next generation, their heirs, torn between fate and reality, and the balance of the future hangs in anticipation of what’s to come.

my review

★★★★★: Awesome!!! I really loved this book! (Highly recommended)

Oh, this is good! I’ve been reading a lot of contemporary romances lately so I decided to take a detour and read some paranormal stuffs. And I’m psyched to have met Marcus, Sam and Nickolas. A formidable trio forging an unforgettable connection, oozing with unprecedented attraction, gaining undeniable attention, resulting to unexpected turn of events and to be deceived in the end. And on the top of it all, there’s Julia, a force connecting the three, from as far as Mount Olympus. And the gods! Oh my gods!

Sam and her missing hours, Julia and her dreams, Marcus and his envy against brother Nickolas, and the prophecy that would determine their intertwined futures – they’re all beautifully written and characterized. There’s also Ken and the Parker foster family who added much drama in this complicated modernized mythology.

The Greek setting of this book really captured my interest. Everything and anything Zeus-related stories is an absolute must read for me! So imagine my delight when I finally started reading Deceived by L.A. Starkey! Can’t wait to start the next book!

P.S.

I love the book cover, it’s so gorgeous! Love the blue-black combo, mesmerizing fonts, and the shadowed trees. It’s really stunning!
